Role Description: The Chief Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at GG Hospital in Trivandrum. This role is responsible for leading and overseeing hospital infrastructure and engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with clinical, operational, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include planning and coordinating project activities, managing timelines and budgets, supervising engineering teams and contractors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.

The Chief Project

Engineer collaborates closely with hospital leadership, clinical departments, and support services to prioritise projects, resolve technical issues,



and support ongoing facility improvements. The role also involves reviewing technical designs, monitoring installation and commissioning of electrical and related systems, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery and facility performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills for managing hospital infrastructure and technical systems.
- Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to lead complex projects, coordinate stakeholders, and control timelines and budgets.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and hospital leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline; professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects, preferably in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and hospital facility requirements.
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and make data-informed decisions under time constraints.
