Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Chess Coach at TalentCraft India.

The Chess

Coach will conduct live online sessions for children and teenagers, teaching fundamental to advanced chess concepts, strategies, tactics, and game analysis.

Responsibilities include planning structured lesson plans, preparing digital teaching materials, assessing learners’ progress, and providing individualized feedback. The coach will organize practice games, guide students through tournaments or internal competitions, and encourage disciplined, sportsmanlike behavior.



The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to refine the chess curriculum and maintaining explicit communication with learners and, where applicable, parents or guardians.

Qualifications

- Strong chess expertise, including opening principles, middle-game strategy, endgame technique, and game analysis.
- Experience teaching or coaching children and teenagers, with the ability to adapt explanations to different age groups and skill levels.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with patience, empathy, and a learner-centric teaching approach.
- Comfort with online teaching tools and platforms, including video conferencing, digital boards, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to design structured lesson plans, track learner progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Relevant coaching certifications or strong tournament experience in chess are an advantage.
- Fluency in English; additional Indian or international languages are a plus.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace for conducting online classes.
