Education Qualification: Btech or MTech in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.

Required Experience: 16 to 18 years in Automotive R&D; field. Experience in Chassis System Engineering, with a minimum of 10 years Chassis System Design & development, Experience Leading Value Engineering Initiatives. Should have experience of leading a team for 5 to 8 years.

Purpose of the Role : As the Section Head - Chassis Architecture 2W, you will be responsible for delivering chassis systems for multiple platforms in a market segment leading a team of module leads. You will work cross-functionally with design, engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance the structural integrity and overall riding experience.

RoleDescription

Lead the design and development of chassis architecture for multiple new products in a market segment leading a team of module leads working cross functionally with chief engineers within the chassis CoC, other CoCs and product leader. Finalise architecture of chassis systems meeting the QCD requirements in early stages of project, steer alignments and discussions within and between CoCs, Quality, Purchasing, Service, Production and Aftersales. Review overall chassis system CAE (FEA, Durability, Dynamics, NVH, Package, etc.) and oversee the validation process.

Conduct

Design reviews, discuss with suppliers for manufacturability, ensure delivery of design and development of parts meeting QCD requirements for current product development.

Lead Chassis

CoC in project meetings, updating status,



seeking support of CoC heads and Vehicle Line Managers where necessary to ensure timely delivery of projects meeting quality and Cost requirements. Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and drive technical decisions in quick time. Mentor the new engineers for their career goals and objectives Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards. Manage supplier relationships.
