About the role

BackdropSource sells custom backdrops — step-and-repeat banners, media walls, and trade-show displays — across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, all through Shopify. This role owns the growth and accuracy of that catalog: building SEO-clean product listings, researching competitor catalogs to find gaps we should fill, and equipping our sales and design teams with everything they need to know about each new product.

You should be someone who uses AI tools to move quick — not someone who grinds through everything by hand.

What you'll do

- Create and maintain product listings in Shopify — titles, variants, pricing, images, collections,

metafields — following Shopify best practices and on-page SEO.
- Keep catalog data clean and consistent across all four regional storefronts (no blank titles/IDs, no duplicate handles, consistent naming).




- Research competitor catalogs to identify backdrop styles and categories we're missing, and turn that into a prioritized list of listings to add.
- Create study material for the sales and design teams so they fully understand every new product being launched — what it is, how it's positioned, and how it differs from what we already offer.

SHOW-STOPPER REQUIREMENTS

- HANDS-ON SHOPIFY CATALOG EXPERIENCE — you've personally built and managed products, variants, and collections in a live Shopify store.
- PROVEN DATA DISCIPLINE — you can work through hundreds of product rows without introducing blanks, duplicates, or inconsistent naming.

• PROFICIENCY WITH LLMs — you use Claude/ChatGPT and similar tools daily to research, draft,

and eliminate repetitive work, and you'll show us how.

Nice-to-haves

- On-page SEO knowledge for ecommerce (titles, meta, handles, alt text).
- Experience with Shopify bulk editor / metafields / catalog apps.
- Exposure to B2B or custom / made-to-order product catalogs.
