Role Objective As a Career Counsellor, you will be the primary guide for students navigating aptitude discovery, stream selection, and career pathway planning. You will combine consultative, one-on-one counseling with proactive sales and outreach to schools — building Vidysea and Pathlynk's presence as trusted career-guidance partners for principals, academic directors, and parents.

This is a hybrid role: part counselor, part business developer, driving both student outcomes and institutional partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

1. School Partnerships & Business Development• Identify, approach, and onboard schools and PU/junior colleges as partners for Vidysea and Pathlynk's career counselling programs.

- Build and manage relationships with principals, academic directors, and management teams to position Vidysea/Pathlynk as their preferred career-guidance partner.
- Pitch and present the career counseling program to school leadership, including proposals, demos, and partnership terms.
- Drive outreach campaigns (calls, emails, in-person visits) to expand the school partner pipeline across assigned territories.
- Represent Vidysea/Pathlynk at school events, parent-teacher meetings, and career seminars to build visibility and generate leads.
- Negotiate and close partnership agreements, working toward monthly and quarterly school onboarding and revenue targets.

Student & Parent Engagement (Sales-Led Counseling)• Conduct engaging seminars and workshops within partner schools and colleges to introduce students and parents to aptitude assessment and career planning.

- Convert seminar attendees and inbound inquiries into enrolled counseling clients through consultative, empathetic follow-up.
- Handle parent objections and concerns with clear, confident communication, building trust in the counseling process.

3. Career Counseling & Aptitude Guidance• Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to assess students' aptitude, interests, strengths, and academic performance.

- Guide students on stream selection (Science/Commerce/Arts), subject combinations, and suitable career pathways using assessment data.
- Advise on domestic higher-education options, entrance exams (JEE, NEET, CET, CLAT, etc.), and college selection aligned to each student's profile.
- Build a personalized career roadmap for each student, translating assessment results into actionable next steps.
- Tools, Reporting & CRM• Use Pathlynk's assessment platform and internal CRM tools to track student progress, school pipeline, and outreach activity.
- Maintain accurate records of school partnership status, counseling sessions, and conversion funnel metrics.

- • Share feedback with the product/content team to continuously improve counseling tools and materials.

Qualifications & Skills

- Sales & Outreach: Ability to generate leads, pitch to institutions, and close school partnerships.
- Counseling Skills: Strong grounding in aptitude assessment, stream/career guidance, and student psychology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English (and regional language where applicable); confident presenting to principals, parents, and student groups.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build long-term trust with school leadership and repeat institutional partners.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM software and digital outreach tools to manage pipeline and reporting.
- Willingness to travel locally/regionally for school visits, seminars, and events.
