Role Description The CA Articled Assistant internship role is an on-site position based in Salem.

The Articled

Assistant will support audit engagements, assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, and help ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting and tax regulations. Daily responsibilities may include vouching and verification of transactions, maintaining working papers, supporting tax return preparation, and assisting in documentation for statutory and internal audits. The role also involves coordinating with team members, learning to interpret financial data,



and participating in client meetings under supervision.

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience aligned with the CA curriculum and professional development.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (IPCC/Intermediate cleared or as per applicable regulations) with eligibility to undertake articleship training.

- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting; familiarity with auditing standards and tax concepts is an advantage.

- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and the ability to work with accounting or ERP software.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document work clearly and interact professionally with team members and clients.

- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage time and meet deadlines.

- Willingness to work on-site in Salem, learn continuously, follow professional ethics, and collaborate in a team-based environment.

- Prior internship or practical experience in accounting, audit, or taxation is beneficial but not mandatory.
