Job Purpose:

The role of Resource - Buying & Planning will work in the Apparel function’s buying & planning vertical to drive processes and efficiency of Buying, Planning and Merchandising activity and ensure optimum maintenance of inventory at Warehouse.

What you’ll do:

- Buying Apparel, accessories and Riding gear
- Deriving OTB for the year from the SBP and aligning with FPNA
- Range planning and ensuring merchandise availability of required merchandise to all the channels
- Frequently ascertain the sell throughs and push the channels for improving the sell throughs
- Planning EOSS and channel specific discounts in conjunction with Brand P&L;
- Base stock working and allocation of merchandise to respective channels
- Inventory management at Warehouse and maintain the Week cover, Stock turns
- Collaboration with channel partners for smooth execution of plans to achieve required sales
- Communication with Marketing for season launches and new product introduction for effective dissemination of communication props to all the channels
- Regular communication with Design team on change in sales trend performance of existing seasons for improvement in the product performance
- Scheme implementation for non moving or overstocked merchandise
- Analyze and liquidate the aging stock
- Interaction with Sourcing on the delivery and OTIF of the merchandise
- On time order release adhering to the season calendar
- Setting standard systems for Buying, planning and inventory management




- Category-wise sales forecast and frequent alignment with respective channels to achieve the committed sales numbers

What you'll bring:

Experience:

- Category & Buying Expertise: 5+ years of buying experience in apparel, accessories, or technical gear, managing seasonal buy plans and OTIF performance.
- Financial & OTB Planning: Proven success deriving annual OTB, controlling brand P&L;, and driving category sales forecasts.
- Inventory & Stock Health: Robust track record in managing stock turns, stock cover, range planning, base stock allocation, and aging stock liquidation (EOSS).
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to align with Design (product performance), Sourcing (deliveries), and Marketing (launch campaigns) across multi-channel networks.
- Process & Analytics: Skilled in tracking channel sell-throughs and building standard operational systems for buying, planning, and inventory control.
