Purpose/Objective To manage procurement activities for Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) categories across cement plants, ensuring timely availability of materials, cost optimization, supplier development, contract management, and compliance with organizational procurement policies while supporting uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Manage end-to-end procurement of O&M; materials including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, consumables, spares, lubricants, welding items, safety items, and general stores.
- Execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, cost reduction targets, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Float RFQs/RFPs, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop current suppliers to strengthen the vendor base and improve supply reliability.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of critical spares and maintenance materials for uninterrupted plant operations.
- Prepare comparative statements, purchase orders, contracts, and procurement reports.
- Monitor supplier performance through quality, delivery, cost, and service parameters.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, stores, finance,



and logistics teams for procurement planning and execution.
- Drive value engineering and localization initiatives to achieve annual cost-saving targets.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, statutory regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Analyze spend patterns and develop sourcing strategies for key O&M; categories.
- Handle vendor disputes, claims, and performance-related issues to ensure business continuity.
- Support digital procurement initiatives and ERP-based purchasing processes.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - B.

E.

/B.

Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Production, or related Engineering discipline.

- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Operations will be preferred. Experience - 8–12 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain functions.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in O&M; procurement within Cement, Steel, Power, Mining, Heavy Engineering, or Manufacturing industries.
- Experience in handling high-value procurement and annual rate contracts.
