Roof Sheet Manufacturing Project

Job Purpose

We are planning to start a new roof sheet manufacturing business. We are looking for an experienced person who can study the market and help us decide what products to manufacture, where to manufacture, how much to invest, and how to sell the products.

The person will be responsible for complete market study, customer research, competitor study, supplier development, machinery research and project feasibility.

Main Responsibilities

1. Market Research

- Study roof sheet demand in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.
- Identify major markets and growing areas.
- Study product types, sizes, thicknesses and market prices.

2. Customer Research

- Meet roof sheet dealers, contractors, PEB companies, builders and fabricators.
- Understand their monthly requirements, buying prices, preferred products and quality expectations.
- Conduct minimum 100 customer interviews.

3. Competitor Study

- Identify major roof sheet manufacturers.
- Study their products, prices, capacity, quality, dealers and market position.
- Prepare competitor comparison.

4. Dealer & Sales Research

- Meet minimum 25 dealers/distributors.
- Study dealer margins, credit requirements and sales potential.
- Develop a proposed dealer and sales network.

5. Supplier Development

- Identify GI/PPGI coil suppliers and other important suppliers.
- Obtain prices, payment terms, credit terms and delivery conditions.
- Negotiate with suppliers.

6. Machinery Research

- Identify suitable roofing sheet manufacturing machines.
- Compare machine cost, capacity, automation, quality and supplier support.
- Obtain quotations from machinery manufacturers.

7. Factory Visits

- Visit existing roof sheet manufacturing factories.




- Study production process, manpower, machine capacity, layout, quality control and operating costs.
- Minimum 10 factory visits.

8. Project Feasibility

10. Final DPR & Recommendation Prepare a complete Detailed Project Report (DPR) and clearly recommend:

GO / GO WITH CONDITIONS / NO-GO The recommendation must be based on actual market research, customer feedback, supplier quotations and financial calculations.

Candidate Requirements
- 510 years relevant experience.
- Experience in roofing, steel, PEB, GI/PPGI, construction materials or manufacturing preferred.
- Good knowledge of B2B sales and market research.
- Good supplier negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing and machinery.
- Good Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Positive communication and report-writing skills.
- Willing to travel extensively for customer, dealer, supplier and factory visits.

Travel and business expenses will be reimbursed separately.

Most Important Requirement

We need a practical field person, not only an office-based researcher.
