Position: Business Development Manager – Sustainability, Certification & Carbon Markets

Reporting To: DG, NCCF

Location: Noida

Relevant Experience : 3-5 years

About NCCF

NCCF is an Indian non-profit organization working in sustainable forest management, responsible sourcing, conservation, certification and carbon markets. NCCF develops certification programmes covering SFM, Trees Outside Forests (ToF), Chain of Custody (CoC), and related sustainability initiatives, along with Carbon Registry–India (CR-I).

Job Purpose To drive business development for NCCF’s certification, sustainability, verification, training and carbon-related programmes by generating leads, developing client relationships and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute business development plans and achieve agreed targets.
- Identify and generate leads across sustainability, forestry, carbon markets, ESG, biodiversity, agriculture and related sectors.
- Build and manage relationships with corporates, government agencies, PSUs, NGOs, project developers and other stakeholders.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, negotiations and follow-ups.
- Prepare and support proposals, quotations, concept notes and business presentations.
- Promote NCCF programmes including SFM, ToF, CoC, and other schemes of NCCF
- Conduct market research, identify recent opportunities and build strategic partnerships.
- Represent NCCF at relevant conferences, seminars, workshops and industry forums.
- Coordinate with technical and operations teams for client onboarding and project delivery.
- Maintain sales pipeline,



CRM/database and prepare regular MIS and business development reports.
- Knowledge or experience in social media management will be an added advantage.

- Creates awareness through LinkedIn, webinars, conferences, articles, campaigns and digital content.
- Takes the qualified opportunity forward—understands requirements, prepares the proposal, negotiates commercials and closes the agreement.

Qualification & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Sustainability or related field.
- Masters in Business, Marketing or MBA/PGDM in Marketing will be an advantage.
- 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, consulting, sustainability, certification, forestry, carbon markets, ESG or related sectors.
- B2B sales, institutional sales, client acquisition or partnership experience preferred.

- Strong business development, lead generation and client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of sustainability, certification, ESG, forestry and carbon markets.
- Strong networking, proposal writing and stakeholder management skills.
- Good market research and business development capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; CRM knowledge preferred.
- Target-oriented, self-driven and willing to travel across India.

Compensation Salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and suitability.
