Role Description The BMC Patrol Agent and Monitoring Consultant role at BRD is a full-time, in office position based in Gurugram. The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining BMC Patrol Agent monitoring solutions across enterprise systems and applications. Daily tasks include setting up monitoring policies, creating and tuning alerts, performing performance analysis, and ensuring proactive incident detection.
The role involves collaborating with infrastructure, application, and ServiceNow teams to integrate monitoring with ITSM processes and dashboards. The consultant will also document configurations, support change management activities, troubleshoot monitoring issues,
and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and observability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in BMC Patrol Agent configuration, deployment, and administration for server and application monitoring.
Candidates should possess skills in monitoring design, alert tuning, performance analysis, and capacity planning for complex IT environments.
Candidates should possess experience integrating monitoring tools with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, including event management and workflow automation.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and basic networking concepts relevant to monitoring and incident response.
Candidates should possess troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills for infrastructure and application performance issues.
Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and certifications in BMC, ServiceNow, or monitoring tools are beneficial.
Experience in enterprise IT operations, observability platforms, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Shell, Python), and ITIL-based processes is an advantage.
