KGiSL School of Innovation is where industry problems meet student energy — and we make sure real work comes out the other side. Our Web3 & Blockchain Lab (BW Lab) isn't a classroom experiment. We run live consultancy projects, build MVPs for industry partners, and deploy on mainnet. We're building the next generation of blockchain developers in India by putting them on real problems from day one — and we need technically sharp people to lead that from the front.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. You will own the technical execution of blockchain projects inside the BW Lab — consultancy engagements, PoCs, and MVPs — while working alongside students on applied Web3 development. The mentoring here isn't hand-holding. It's architecture reviews, security thinking, and building technical depth in people who will go on to ship real products. You bring the depth. You set the standard. The lab gives you the space to build.
What You'll Do
→ Architect and deploy production-grade smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM-compatible L2s (Arbitrum, Optimism, zkSync, Base, Polygon)
→ Own full technical execution on industry consultancy projects and MVPs — system design through mainnet deployment
→ Build DeFi protocols, NFT systems (ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-2981), RWA tokenization pipelines, and DAO governance mechanisms
→ Design on-chain/off-chain architectures — event indexing, subgraphs (The Graph), IPFS/Filecoin, oracle integrations (Chainlink)
→ Write comprehensive test suites — unit, integration, fuzz and invariant testing using Foundry or Hardhat
→ Identify and mitigate contract vulnerabilities — reentrancy, front-running, access control flaws, proxy upgrade risks
→ Lead code reviews, architecture decisions, and security thinking with students on live projects
Must Have
1 3+ years of production Blockchain / Web3 development — mainnet, not testnet
2 At least one verifiable live deployment — contract address, audited codebase, or production DApp
3 Deep Solidity expertise — proxy patterns (UUPS, Transparent, Diamond/EIP-2535), storage layout, gas profiling, assembly-level optimizations
4 Robust command of Foundry or Hardhat — fuzz testing, invariant testing, deployment scripting
5 Solid grasp of EVM internals — opcodes, call stack, memory vs storage, delegatecall behavior
6 Contract security fundamentals — common attack vectors, mitigation patterns, ability to read audit reports
7 Hands-on with ethers.js / viem / wagmi and The Graph for subgraph development
Strong Advantage
1 L2 deployment experience — bridging, sequencer behavior, gas differences.
2 Cross-chain protocols — CCIP, LayerZero, Wormhole
3 DeFi protocol internals — built or forked an AMM, lending pool, or vault strategy
4 Account abstraction (ERC-4337) — paymasters, bundlers, smart wallets
5 RWA tokenization or on-chain compliance mechanisms
6 ZK familiarity — Circom, Noir, or Halo2, even early exposure
7 Smart contract audit experience — formal or internal To Apply
