Bioinformatician – Manna Biotech

Role: Bioinformatician – Research, Trainings, Testings & Workshops (RTTW)

Manna Biotech is looking for a skilled and motivated Bioinformatician to lead and manage our Bioinformatics division under RTTW – Research, Trainings, Testings & Workshops.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle bioinformatics research projects for students, scholars, faculty and industry clients.
- Perform NGS, Nanopore sequencing, genomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics and microbiome data analysis.
- Conduct sequence analysis, genome annotation, phylogenetics and comparative genomics.
- Perform molecular docking, molecular dynamics and other computational biology analyses.
- Provide bioinformatics support for PhD, dissertation, project and publication-oriented research.
- Conduct hands-on bioinformatics training programs and workshops for students, researchers and professionals.
- Develop and conduct practical training modules in R, Python, Linux, NGS analysis and computational biology.
- Handle bioinformatics testing and analysis services offered by Manna Biotech.
- Prepare technical reports, research outputs, figures, statistical analyses and publication-ready data.
- Develop SOPs, workflows and training materials for bioinformatics services.




- Coordinate with wet-lab scientists to integrate experimental and computational data.
- Independently manage assigned RTTW projects from client requirement to final delivery.
- Support business development by identifying and developing new bioinformatics training, testing and research services.

Required Skills

- MSc/MTech/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences or related field.
- Strong knowledge of R/Python and Linux.
- Practical experience in NGS and bioinformatics analysis.
- Knowledge of databases and tools such as NCBI, BLAST, UniProt, KEGG, Galaxy, etc.
- Experience in molecular docking and computational biology is an advantage.
- Good communication, presentation and training skills.
- Ability to independently handle research projects, client requirements and workshops.

Preferred

Candidates with experience in Nanopore sequencing, metagenomics, transcriptomics, microbiome analysis, molecular docking, AI/ML in life sciences and academic research support will be preferred.

Significant

The selected candidate will be expected to take overall responsibility for Bioinformatics-related Research, Trainings, Testings and Workshops (RTTW) at Manna Biotech.
