Digital Builder (VDC / Digital Twin) — Mumbai

Complex projects. Demanding work. Opportunity in Mumbai.

Amarilla builds exceptional custom homes around the world. These are not standard projects. They are detailed, complex, and technically demanding homes that require discipline, organization, precision, and people who care deeply about the work.

We combine traditional construction discipline with advanced digital tools—including BIM and Digital Twin workflows—to deliver homes finished to an uncompromising standard.

We are looking for a Digital Builder to support our Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Digital Twin process.

What matters most in this role is a deep understanding of architecture, design intent, structural and MEP systems, materials, construction detailing, and how extraordinary ideas become buildable work. You should be comfortable working alongside visionary architects and designers, understanding what they are trying to achieve, and helping resolve the technical questions without compromising the quality or ambition of the design.

Revit is an important working tool, but it is not the job itself. We expect at least 1–2 years of practical Revit experience and comfort working in a coordinated model. However, solid architectural judgment and construction knowledge are more important than advanced software specialization.

This is not a BIM management role. You will work within Amarilla’s established BIM, VDC, and Digital Twin workflows and standards, applying them carefully to complex projects.

The Role

You will work closely with our Digital Twin Manager, Project Partner, architects, designers, consultants, vendors, and site teams to develop and maintain the digital representation of each project.

Your role is to help translate design intent into clear, coordinated, buildable information—while protecting the quality, detail, and ambition of the architecture throughout the construction process.

This is a practical,

detail-driven role for someone who enjoys solving complex design and construction questions and takes pride in getting the details right.

What You’ll Do

- Develop, update, and maintain coordinated project models using Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.
- Follow Amarilla’s established BIM, VDC, and Digital Twin standards, workflows, and model requirements.
- Help translate architectural and interior design intent into accurate, buildable digital information.
- Coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, interiors, landscape, and specialist-vendor information.
- Review drawings, shop drawings, specifications, material details, and vendor submissions for alignment with design intent and construction requirements.
- Identify coordination issues, constructability questions, and design conflicts early; clearly communicate them to the appropriate project team members.
- Participate in model reviews and clash-detection sessions, supporting the resolution and documentation of open items.
- Support site teams and vendors with clear model views, details, visualizations, and coordinated information.
- Track design changes, site conditions, approvals, and as-built updates in the project’s digital records.
- Help verify that installed work reflects the approved design, coordinated information, and Amarilla’s quality standard.
- Prepare clear coordination updates and visual material for project leadership, architects, and consultants.
- Support the delivery of an accurate, organized Digital Twin record at project completion.

Required

- Strong understanding of architecture, structural systems, MEP coordination, materials, construction detailing, and how design intent becomes buildable work.

- Ability to read and understand architectural, interior, structural, MEP, and shop drawings—and recognize where details, systems, or trades may conflict.
- Experience working on complex residential, hospitality, high-end interiors, or similarly detail-intensive projects.
- Comfort working with visionary architects, designers, consultants, vendors, and site teams while communicating clearly and professionally.
- A strong eye for proportion, materials, detailing, and the difference between a drawing that looks good and one that can be built well.
- At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience using Revit in an architectural, interiors, engineering, or construction environment.
- Comfortable navigating, reviewing, interrogating, and making basic updates to coordinated project models. Advanced Revit expertise is welcome but is not the primary qualification for this role.
- Degree in architecture, interior architecture, engineering, construction management, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Discipline, curiosity, organization, and exceptional attention to detail.

A Plus

- Experience supporting BIM, VDC, or Digital Twin workflows on active construction projects.
- Experience with custom luxury residences, high-end interiors, or complex bespoke detailing.
- Familiarity with Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, Revizto, Solibri, or similar tools.
- Experience coordinating millwork, stone, metalwork, lighting, façades, bespoke furniture, or specialist finishes.
- Confidence working in a fast-moving environment with high expectations and multiple design disciplines.
