About The Role The Senior Administrator role at Tech Data is a critical position responsible for managing, installing, upgrading, and migrating various enterprise applications and databases, including SAP, Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, TM1, and other cutting-edge technologies. The successful candidate will oversee the scheduling of maintenance activities across multiple systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

They will be tasked with creating and maintaining server infrastructure, balancing workloads, and troubleshooting software logistics to resolve performance or startup issues effectively. This role requires proactive system monitoring, reviewing performance and audit reports to maintain system health, and implementing alerts within monitoring tools to preemptively identify potential issues.

The Senior

Administrator will also handle incidents and requests from end-users, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and resolution. Additionally, the role involves documenting processes, reviewing procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business needs and technology upgrades.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and application administration. A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is required; alternative educational qualifications with relevant certifications are also acceptable.

Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Technology Associate on HANA, SAP Certified Technology Specialist in SAP S/4HANA Conversion and System Upgrade,



SAP Certified System Administration, or equivalent certifications such as Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect or Tableau Server Certified Professional. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in executing instructions, using ticketing tools, and performing data entry tasks with high accuracy. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, leadership qualities, organizational capabilities, and the ability to work independently under pressure are essential.

Technical knowledge should encompass transport and printer administration, job scheduling, system design, and troubleshooting SAP and BI platforms. A proactive approach to system monitoring, alert setup, and performance review is vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Install, upgrade, and configure SAP, BI platform software, and databases, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance (25%)
- Migrate SAP, BI platform software, and databases, including advanced administration tasks, to support organizational growth (5%)
- Provide technical support to end-users, application teams, and business units, resolving issues promptly and efficiently (15%)
- Create and manage server infrastructure, utilizing ticketing tools to ensure seamless operations and high customer satisfaction (15%)
- Review system performance and audit reports regularly to maintain system health and compliance (5%)
- Perform periodic maintenance activities to ensure system stability and reliability, keeping systems operational ("lights on") (10%)
- Proactively monitor systems using alert configurations to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations (5%)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP and BI platform system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes (15%)

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, application administration, and system troubleshooting
