Role Description The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project Manager role is a hybrid position based in Kozhikode, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Project Manager oversees end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of BESS projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, stakeholder coordination, and risk management. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, tracking project progress against scope, budget, and timelines, preparing technical and status reports, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.

The Project

Manager collaborates closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to integrate BESS solutions into broader energy and infrastructure projects,



while engaging with clients and vendors to manage expectations and resolve issues. The role also involves identifying process improvements, supporting training initiatives, and contributing to strategic planning for future BESS deployments.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including experience managing complex energy or infrastructure projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

- Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret technical data, assess project risks, and support performance optimization for BESS solutions.

- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including transparent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.

- Candidates should possess sound Budgeting skills, with experience in cost estimation, financial tracking, and maintaining projects within approved budgets.

- Candidates should possess Training and team development capabilities, including mentoring project staff and supporting knowledge transfer on BESS technologies and processes.

- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy systems, project management, or a related field are strongly preferred.

- Experience with battery energy storage systems, renewable energy projects, grid integration, or power systems engineering is highly beneficial.

- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Agile or PMI frameworks) and applicable safety and regulatory standards is advantageous.
