Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at Brownd – Coffee & Matcha Bar in Hyderabad. The Barista will prepare and serve a range of coffee and matcha beverages, following established recipes and presentation standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include taking customer orders, operating espresso and brewing equipment, handling food preparation for small bites or accompaniments, and maintaining a clean and organized bar and seating area.

The role involves engaging with guests, answering questions about the menu and mindful rituals, processing payments, and supporting opening and closing procedures.



The Barista will work closely with the team to ensure consistent quality, timely service, and a calm, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a friendly, inclusive, and mindful guest experience.
- Candidates should possess Barista skills, including experience with espresso machines, coffee brewing methods, and matcha preparation.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members and to explain menu items and recommendations.
- Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills to safely prepare beverages and light food items, following hygiene and safety standards.
- Previous experience in a café or hospitality workplace is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage busy service times while maintaining composure.
- Willingness to learn Brownd’s signature recipes, rituals, and service standards.
- Basic cash handling skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are an advantage.
