Senior Backend Engineer — TypeScript / AI Agents (Remote, India)

Pyrock AI builds workflow automation for construction sites. Site engineers, contractors and owners run their projects on WhatsApp — so that's where we live. Our assistant sits inside existing site groups, ingests bills, voice notes and photos in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English, and turns them into structured inventory, compliance and daily reporting for the developer.

We're a small team with paying clients and real sites running today. We're looking for the engineer who will own the backend end to end.

What you'll work on

- A WhatsApp messaging bridge that must stay up and stay ordered under heavy, bursty load — hundreds of messages, images and PDFs per client, per day, across multiple construction groups at once
- LLM agent pipelines that extract structured data from unstructured, multilingual, frequently messy input
- Per-client isolated deployments — each customer runs on their own infrastructure, so provisioning, monitoring and upgrades have to be repeatable

What we're looking for

- 5+ years writing production TypeScript / Node.js — services you built that other people depended on
- Practical experience with LLM agents, tool use, and building around model failure rather than assuming it away
- Comfort with the operational side: Postgres, queues, Linux servers, deployments you own
- Fluent English or Hindi — you'll be talking directly to founders and, sometimes, to clients on site
- You've debugged something at 11pm because it mattered, not because someone told you to

Nice to have

- WhatsApp Business API, Baileys, or any messaging-platform integration work
- Computer vision / camera pipelines
- Any exposure to construction, logistics, manufacturing or another offline-heavy industry

- Fully remote, anywhere in India
- ₹80,000 per month
- 7 hours per day, 6 days a week — a fixed window you choose and keep
