Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled AWS Migration Engineer (L2) to support and execute cloud migration projects involving infrastructure, applications, and databases. The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing migrations from on-premises environments or other cloud platforms to AWS.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute end-to-end migration of servers, applications, and databases to AWS cloud.
- Assess existing infrastructure and recommend migration strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retire, Retain).
- Utilize AWS migration services such as:
- AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
- AWS Database Migration Service (DMS)

- AWS Migration Hub

- AWS DataSync

- AWS Transfer Family
- Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure using services such as:

- EC2

- VPC

- IAM

- ELB/ALB

- Route 53
- S3

- EBS

- RDS

- Auto Scaling
- Perform migration testing, validation, and post-migration optimization.
- Troubleshoot migration-related issues involving networking, storage, compute, and security.
- Implement cloud security best practices, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure,



and security teams during migration engagements.
- Create and maintain migration runbooks, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Support production workloads and resolve incidents related to migrated environments.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience in cloud migration projects from on-premises to AWS.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.
- Valuable understanding of networking concepts:

- TCP/IP

- DNS

- VPN

- Load Balancers

- Subnets

- Security Groups

- NACLs
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools:

- Terraform

- CloudFormation
- Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
- Understanding of backup and disaster recovery methodologies.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
- Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone and AWS Control Tower.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise migration programs.
