Role -AWS Engineers

Desired Experience Range- 7-12 Years

Location- Chennai

Must-Have

- 7+ experience in AWS Solutions Qualified certified.
- Experience in legacy modernization (refactor, Re-Host, Re-write) from mainframe to AWS platform
- Experience in conducting functional testing in legacy modernization scenario
- Application development experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Angular, Apache Groovy and Maven Scripts
- Development experience in MS SQL Server/ DB2 LUW/ PostgreSQL as one of the backend databases.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodology
- Experience with designing & estimation tools
- Experience using AWS Cloud Services
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

Good-to-Have

- Mainframe development skills using COBOL, PLI, CICS with DB2 and VSAM as backend
- Experience in migrating data from DB2 on z/OS to DB2 on LUW or PostgreSQL
- Experience in automation testing using products like selenium
- Experience in mainframe security -RACF,

Key Responsibility / Expectations from the Role

1 Lead customers in modernizing legacy mainframe applications that can fully leverage the AWS Cloud.

2 Achieving success will require coordination across many internal AWS teams and external AWS Partners

3 Work with various modernization tools and products to modernize mainframe including refactor, rehost, data migration.

4 Independently develop/test the modernized application code for functionality and performance in the target AWS cloud environment

5 Lead customers target state architecture

6 Deliver Migration & Total Operating cost estimation

7 Assists Cloud Infra Architect, devops to implement Disaster Recovery solutions

8 Work with Security team to implement Infra, application and data security.
