Role Description The Mechanical Engineer – Reverse Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based in Faridabad. This role focuses on analyzing existing mechanical components and assemblies, capturing geometry and features, and converting them into accurate 3D CAD models and technical documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include using metrology tools and techniques to measure parts, performing detailed mechanical analysis, and preparing drawings and specifications for manufacturing or improvement of existing designs.

The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support quality systems, product improvements, and integration of reverse-engineered components into production workflows. The role also involves troubleshooting design issues, suggesting design optimizations,



and ensuring that reverse-engineered solutions meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of machine design, materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and drafting tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar), including creating detailed models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Experience with reverse engineering methods, including measurement of parts, interpretation of legacy drawings, and reconstruction of designs.
- Familiarity with metrology and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, laser or 3D scanners) and associated data analysis.
- Ability to analyze mechanical performance, identify design issues, and propose improvements for manufacturability and reliability.
- Strong documentation skills for preparing reports, technical specifications, and work instructions in a clear and structured manner.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work with design, production, and quality teams in office.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; relevant industry experience in reverse engineering or metrology is an advantage.
- Comfort with hands-on work in a manufacturing or lab environment, including adherence to safety and quality procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
