EDI QA Lead / Test Lead

Position: EDI QA Lead / Test Lead

We are looking for an experienced QA/Test Lead with strong expertise in EDI testing, Playwright automation, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT, transaction mapping, web and integration testing, and API automation.

The candidate will be responsible for defining and executing test strategies, leading QA teams, driving automation initiatives, and ensuring high-quality delivery across EDI integrations, APIs, and web platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead QA activities across EDI, integration, API, and web-based applications.
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and QA processes.
- Perform and oversee EDI testing, including X12 and EDIFACT transaction validation.
- Validate EDI transaction mapping, data transformation, and partner integrations.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright.
- Design and execute API automation for REST and SOAP services.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and system testing.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
- Lead and mentor QA engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, business teams, and integration teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Drive QA automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define quality metrics and provide regular status, risk, and quality reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate test coverage for critical business workflows and integrations.




- Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing into the development lifecycle.

Required Skills
- Strong experience in EDI Quality / EDI Testing.
- Hands-on experience with EDI standards – X12 and/or EDIFACT.
- Solid understanding of EDI transaction mapping and data validation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation.
- Experience in API testing and automation.
- Good knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, test strategy, and test planning.
- Proven experience leading QA teams or QA initiatives.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience testing B2B/integration platforms.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with automation frameworks and test management tools.
- Familiarity with databases and SQL for test-data validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with cloud-based integration platforms is a plus.
