AutoCAD Design Engineer Water & Wastewater Treatment

About the Role

VENZA Water is looking for an experienced AutoCAD Design Engineer to prepare and develop detailed engineering drawings for STP, ETP, WTP, RO and wastewater treatment projects.

The candidate should have solid hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting, equipment layouts, piping layouts, P&ID;, GA drawings and detailed engineering drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for STP, ETP, WTP, RO and wastewater treatment plants.
2. Prepare and modify:

- P&ID; drawings
- Process Flow / HFD drawings
- Equipment Layouts
- Piping Layouts
- General Arrangement (GA) drawings
- Sectional drawings
- Equipment drawings
- Skid layouts
- Pipe routing drawings
- Foundation / equipment location drawings
- Fabrication drawings

1. Develop detailed plant layouts based on process schemes, equipment specifications and site requirements.
2. Prepare piping layouts and routing considering:

- Pipe sizes
- Equipment connections
- Valves
- Supports
- Accessibility
- Maintenance requirements
- Hydraulic flow requirements

1. Coordinate with Process Design Engineers, Project Engineers, Civil Engineers, Fabricators and Site Engineers to develop accurate drawings.
2. Convert engineering concepts, sketches and design calculations into detailed AutoCAD drawings.
3. Incorporate revisions based on comments from clients, consultants, project teams and site teams.
4. Prepare drawings for fabrication, installation and site execution.
5. Check drawings for dimensional accuracy, equipment clearances, piping connections and constructability before issue.
6. Maintain proper drawing numbering,



revision control and documentation.
7. Assist the engineering team in preparing BOQ, BOM, equipment schedules and drawing-based quantity take-offs where required.
8. Visit project sites when required for site measurements, drawing verification and execution support.
9. Coordinate with vendors and fabricators to ensure drawings are prepared as per approved technical specifications.

Required Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD design/drafting.
- Hands-on experience in water and wastewater treatment plant drawings will be strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Ability to understand P&ID;, process flow diagrams, equipment specifications and engineering layouts.
- Good understanding of piping, valves, pumps, blowers, tanks and treatment equipment.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with engineering and project teams.
- Good attention to detail and drawing accuracy.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in preparation of drawings for:

STP | ETP | WTP | RO | MBBR | MBR | SBR | UF | Wastewater Recycling Plants will be preferred.

Experience with fabrication drawings, piping layouts, equipment GA and skid drawings will be an added advantage.
