1. Job Purpose

To prepare accurate 2D engineering drawings, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and detailed part drawings for gear couplings, cardan shafts and other engineering components as per customer requirements, technical specifications and company standards.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Drawing & Drafting

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD for manufacturing components.
- Prepare part drawings, assembly drawings and fabrication drawings.
- Develop drawings for gear couplings, cardan shafts, flanges, hubs, shafts, sleeves, yokes and other mechanical components.
- Prepare drawings based on customer drawings, samples, specifications and engineering requirements.
- Convert hand sketches and technical concepts into accurate CAD drawings.
- Maintain proper dimensions, tolerances, fits, surface finish and material specifications in drawings.

B. Manufacturing Support
- Prepare drawings suitable for CNC, VMC, machining, forging and fabrication processes.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Purchase departments regarding drawing requirements.
- Make drawing corrections and revisions as per production and quality feedback.
- Ensure drawings are practical and suitable for manufacturing.
- Provide clarification to the production team regarding dimensions, tolerances and drawing details.

C. Customer Drawing & Development
- Study customer drawings and understand technical requirements.
- Modify or prepare drawings according to customer specifications.
- Prepare drawings for new product development and customised products.
- Maintain records of customer drawings and approved drawings.
- Ensure proper revision control for drawings.

D. Bill of Material & Documentation
- Prepare and update BOM (Bill of Materials) for assemblies.
- Maintain drawing numbers,



revision numbers and drawing registers.
- Maintain proper documentation of released and revised drawings.
- Ensure only approved/released drawings are provided to the production department.

E. Quality & Accuracy
- Check drawings for dimensional accuracy before release.
- Ensure correct material grades, tolerances, fits and technical specifications are mentioned.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for inspection-related drawing requirements.
- Make necessary corrections based on inspection reports and manufacturing feedback.

F. Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Purchase and Sales/Technical teams.
- Discuss technical requirements with engineers and supervisors.
- Support production during manufacturing whenever drawing-related clarification is required.
- Coordinate with customers/vendors when technical drawing clarification is required, as directed by the Design/Engineering Head.

1. Required Skills

- Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, fits and surface finish.
- Knowledge of shafts, couplings, gears, flanges and machining components.
- Ability to read and interpret customer engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Positive drawing documentation and revision-control skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

1. Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. Experience: 2–5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting/design, preferably in an engineering/manufacturing company.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
