About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Australian Accountant to join our offshore accounting team in Surat. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Australian accounting and bookkeeping, with a good understanding of Australian compliance, taxation, and accounting practices.

You will be responsible for managing accounting and bookkeeping activities for Australian clients and ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting for Australian clients.
- Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare and review BAS, GST and IAS.
- Assist with Australian tax returns and compliance requirements.
- Prepare month-end and year-end accounts and financial statements.
- Handle month-end adjustments, accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
- Prepare workpapers and supporting schedules for Australian clients.
- Review financial data and identify discrepancies or accounting issues.
- Communicate directly with Australian clients and respond to accounting queries.




- Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Support senior accountants and managers with complex accounting and client assignments.

Must-Have Skills

- 3–5 years of relevant Australian Accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting & Taxation.
- Hands-on experience with Xero / QuickBooks Online / MYOB.
- Positive understanding of BAS, GST, IAS and Australian compliance.
- Strong bookkeeping and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple Australian client accounts.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
