Concurrent Audit – Banking Audit Position: Audit Executive / Audit Assistant

About the Chance:

We are looking for motivated candidates to join our Concurrent Audit team for a sizable and significant branches of reputed banks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on exposure to banking operations, credit, documentation, internal controls, compliance and audit processes. Candidates with a genuine interest in learning about the banking industry and developing their audit skills will have significant scope to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct concurrent audit procedures covering various banking transactions and branch operations. Review advances, credit documentation, KYC, account operations, deposits, cash transactions and other banking activities. Check compliance with applicable banking policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Identify exceptions, control weaknesses and irregularities and report the same appropriately. Assist in preparation of audit working papers, observations and reports. Perform data analysis and verification using AI tools, MS Excel & other Microsoft Office tools.

Coordinate with branch officials for obtaining records, explanations and supporting documents. Develop an understanding of banking processes, credit operations, internal controls and risk-based auditing. Occasionally, candidate will also get an opportunity to learn areas other than banking such as Income Tax Appeals, GST Appeals, Return Preparations, Certifications, Secretarial filings and other compliances.

We are looking for candidates who have: A strong intent and willingness to learn banking and audit processes. Good analytical and logical thinking ability. Basic to good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

Attention to detail and a systematic approach to work. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently as well as with an audit team. A professional attitude and willingness to take responsibility.

Prior banking audit experience is an advantage, but is not mandatory. Candidates who are enthusiastic about learning and building a career in banking, audit and finance are encouraged to apply.
