We run programmes in the remotest corners of India and urban areas in the areas of Health Nutrition, Education, Child Protection and Livelihood Economic Wellbeing in order to facilitate quality education, healthcare and protection from harm and abuse and life-saving aid during emergencies to children.

Role Purpose

Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB) is initiating a holistic development project, Samagra Vikas , focusing on developing model villages. The initiative integrates interventions across Health Nutrition, Livelihood, Education, Financial Inclusion, Social Protection, and Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC). The intervention attempts to develop and demonstrate the efficacy of a holistic development project by developing model villages.

This would be based on a robust MIS system and demands thorough documentation, reflections and dissemination of the processes and learnings generated throughout the project period.

Bal Raksha Bharat (BRB) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Manager- MEAL for the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning domain, reporting to the Project Lead / Head of the PIU (Programme Implementation Unit) and collaborating closely with the project implementing teams and thematic/technical support teams.

The Assistant Manager- Project Coordination MEAL will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of project ME, and Knowledge Management Systems aligning with BRB s Goals, Programme Strategy Result Frameworks. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and analytical skills to facilitate programme system practice strengthening, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and learning among our teams, with a deeper understanding of data around themes of Health Nutrition (HN), Education, Child Protection, Economic Well-being programs, and Child Cantered Disaster Risk Reduction (CCDRR). With support from the National MEAL team, the role holder will develop MEAL Plans, Project MIS Tools, in-project Study Tools, etc.

The role holder will also support project managers, with support from the NSO MEAL team, in third-party research studies with ToR development, Review of Tools, Training

Plans, draft reports, and assist with MIS process quality monitoring. S/He will ensure quality in the programmatic deliverables aspects of project implementation in all the thematic areas through utilizing Monitoring, Evaluation and Data Management Tools, Knowledge and Skills to ensure that the project is implemented effectively and evidence generation against the targeted outcomes of the project is accomplished and also contributes towards proper documentation and learning management in the project.

The ideal candidate must have an aptitude for extensive data handling, research, story-telling, and capacity building. This role is based in Rohat block, Pali, and reports to the Project Lead.

Role Dimensions:



The Role Holder will actively collaborate with:

- Project Lead to understand the donor and internal commitments expectations.
- National MEAL Leads and Thematic Leads - to understand associated technical aspects, seek guidance in the MEAL system designing integration in the project, and seek validation.
- Project Team in the field- to deliver the ME-related expectations regarding system practice, quality data, and evidence gathering for authenticity, accuracy, reliability, etc.
- Donor Representatives / External Stakeholders- to understand the external compliance requirements and expectations.

The Role Holder drives the agenda of quality programme implementation through MIS setting up, practice and analysis to continuously evaluate the programme implementation strategy delivery performance.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

MEAL

- Develop an understanding of the BRB s programme strategy, goals, and projects to strengthen the comprehensive Impact evidence building and harvesting.
- Assist project leads with PRIME usage for Log frame DIP filling and progress reporting.
- Lead in MEAL system design, pilot, and rollout in assigned projects aligning with BRB strategy donor commitments/ reporting requirements under the guidance of the Project Lead / PIU Head, with the support of NSO MEAL Focal and the thematic team.
- Train field staff and volunteers in conducting field-based MEAL activities.
- Conduct Supportive Supervision and ensure quality data are collected on paper and/or via digital MEAL tools on a timely basis and managed properly.
- Review data inputted into the database for quality assurance. Conduct periodic reviews of programme data and suggest course corrections.
- Lead in simple analyses and reflective discussions on ongoing monitoring data. Contribute and share initial findings and field-based insights to project discussions.
- Plan and undertake research studies for evidence-based programming.
- Communicate key project information and results with community members and colleagues.
- Share insights and perspectives based on observations and interactions with community members, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ensure MIS is updated across assigned projects and assist NSO MEAL Focals in periodic system performance reviews.
- Support the line manager in organisation MEAL strategy quality delivery management.
- Supports field-level implementation of community feedback mechanisms under the guidance of Project Lead.

Coordination Communication
- Coordinate all External Evaluation Research Studies in projects for evidence-based programming.
- Monitor project compliance and communicate results to project leadership for action.
- Liaison with the PMU team to ensure compliance with donor BRB MEAL requirements.
- Support field-level implementation project teams with feedback mechanisms.

Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare project-level monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and share them with the Project Lead(s). Assist with review activities that align with donor commitments, external stakeholder expectations, and BRB Management requirements within TAT.
- Facilitate the Field Team in collecting quality (accurate, correct, and true) data, compiling it, and timely submitting all required reports.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Postgraduate degree in statistics, developmental studies, population studies, information science, social studies, or a related field.
- Any other relevant certifications are a plus.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least 3-5 years of experience relevant to job responsibilities, after relevant minimum

qualification.
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills, fluency in the local language English.
- Valuable computer skills, including MS Office program.
- Good command of data analytics and statistical software like STATA, SPSS, Etc.
- Handled impact assessments and tool designing.
- Experienced in social development program designs, MEAL RBMS frameworks.
- Experience in large data handling, processing, statistical analysis, interpretation, and analytical report generation.
