Job Purpose The Assistant Manager – HR & Admin plays a pivotal role in managing critical HR functions, including overseeing the Performance Management System (PMS), generating and analysing Management Information System (MIS) reports, implementing effective strategies to reduce employee turnover, and managing HR-related costing and budgeting. This role ensures that HR processes are aligned with organizational objectives while maintaining financial discipline and efficiency.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRA)
Performance Management System (PMS)
à Manage and oversee the complete PMS cycle including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual appraisals à Coordinate with departments for timely submission and closure of PMS activities à Ensure proper documentation and data accuracy in PMS records à Support management in performance evaluation and increment planning
HR MIS & Reporting à Generate, analyse, and maintain HR MIS reports on a regular basis Daily, weekly & Monthly à Track key HR metrics such as attrition, attendance, headcount, and performance data à Ensure accuracy and timely reporting to management
Payroll Management à Process monthly payroll ensuring accuracy and timeliness à Verify attendance, leave records, and payroll inputs à Ensure statutory compliance including PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, and other deductions à Handle salary structure, revisions,
and full & final settlements à Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and reconciliation à Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality
Employee welfare (Retention) & Engagement Activity à Support employee engagement initiatives and welfare activities à Develop and implement strategies to reduce employee attrition à Analyse exit data and recommend corrective actions à Enhance employee satisfaction and workplace culture à Quarterly review of employee engagement activity and welfare activity
HR Budgeting & Cost Control à Prepare and monitor HR budgets including manpower cost and other HR expenses à Optimize HR-related costs while maintaining quality standards à Support financial planning related to increments, incentives, and benefits
HR Operations à Ensure smooth execution of HR processes including onboarding and exit formalities à Maintain employee records and documentation à Coordinate performance appraisals and employee development plans à Ensure timely closure of all HR operational activities
Compliance & Policy Implementation à Implement HR policies and procedures across the organization à Ensure compliance with statutory labour laws and company regulations à Keep updated with labour law amendments and ensure adherence à Support internal and external audits related to HR
Contract Management à Draft,
review, and manage employee contracts, vendor agreements, and service contracts à Ensure all contracts are legally compliant and aligned with company policies à Maintain proper documentation and record of all contracts à Monitor contract validity, renewals, and amendments on a timely basis à Coordinate with legal or management for contract-related matters and risk mitigation
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
- MBA / MLW / MSW /PGDM-HR or IR / HRMS
Experience:
· Minimum 5-7 years in HR & Admin, preferably in a manufacturing environment (manufacturing experience is highly desirable).
· Hands-on experience with PMS, MIS, and Dashboard reporting.
· Exposure to labour laws, compliance, and union handling (if applicable).
· Experience in plant administration and workforce management.
Key Skills
· Solid knowledge of performance management systems and HRMS software (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
· Proficiency in MS Excel (Advance), Power BI, Power Query, or other dashboard/reporting tools.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with plant leadership and workforce.
· Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
· Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
· Sound understanding of labour laws and compliance requirements.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
