As our new Associated Product Development Engineer, you will be driving product verification and testing of controllers, PCB assemblies, and electronic systems within our Water Utility Controls team — from building prototypes and designing test setups to analyzing results that shape engineering decisions. What You Will Be Doing

As a key part of the WU Product Development Controls team, you'll create impact by Ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of next-generation pump controllers and electronics through rigorous testing and innovative problem-solving..

Your main responsibilities include

- Design and build test setups for electrical testing of controls, PCBs, and electronic assemblies, and execute test cases with the highest quality standards
- Facilitate and coordinate prototype building — modifying parts, swapping components, integrating sensors, and assembling controllers, motors, and pumps
- Analyze and evaluate test results, providing clear technical recommendations to the Engineering and Development teams
- Conduct and coordinate compliance testing per global standards (UL, CE, EMI, EMC, Radio) and manage third-party lab testing when required
- Deliver high-quality test documentation and reporting in SharePoint and TVS for all project stakeholders
- Support DP and PLM projects by planning test activities, providing technical solutions, and ensuring prototyping costs meet requirements

you are a hands-on engineer with strong electrical testing expertise, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to bridge the gap between lab work and product development decisions. We would also imagine that you have:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in electrical/hardware testing, including PCB-level testing and test setup design
- Working knowledge of global compliance standards such as UL, CE, EMI, EMC, and safety testing
- Understanding of communication protocols (e.g., Modbus) and basic electrical board functionality

It is a plus if you also:

- Experience with agile product development processes and PLM tools
- Familiarity with pump, motor, or controller product development environments
- Ability to provide cost-conscious test planning and coordinate with third-party testing laboratories
