Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to support US & Canada accounting operations, including month-end close, General Ledger accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, tax reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. The role requires ensuring accurate financial records, timely period-end closures, and compliance with internal controls and SLA requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, provisions,
and other month-end adjustments.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within defined timelines.
- Review Trial Balance and perform General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and adjustment entries.
- Oversee Accounts Payable processes, vendor reconciliations, and payment batch execution.
- Perform VAT, GST/HST, Sales Tax, and other tax-related reconciliations.
- Ensure timely completion of all close activities as per SLA and compliance requirements.
- Support financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Liaise with auditors, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
- 3-7 years of experience in US & Canada Accounting, R2R, AP, AR, and Financial Close processes.
- Robust understanding of General Ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
