Position: Associate Manager - Automation

Job Summary
We are looking for an Associate Manager - Automation to drive reliable operation, troubleshooting, improvement, and technical support of our plant automation systems.
This is a hands-on role for an automation professional with solid PLC programming, SCADA, industrial communication, and troubleshooting expertise, along with the opportunity to work in alignment with Agristo’s global automation architecture, standards, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and support PLC, HMI, SCADA, remote I/O, and industrial communication systems
- Develop, modify, and debug PLC programs, particularly using Structured Text (ST)
- Configure and troubleshoot SCADA/HMI applications, alarms, trends, and communication interfaces
- Diagnose industrial networks and protocols including EtherCAT, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP/RTU, Industrial Ethernet, and OPC UA
- Drive automation modifications, reliability improvements, and root-cause analysis of recurring failures
- Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, I/O checks, sequence testing, and production trials
- Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, Production, Maintenance, Projects, IT, and global automation teams
- Maintain validated PLC/SCADA backups, software revisions, documentation, and recovery information
- Align significant technical changes with Agristo’s global automation standards and principles
- Contribute to continuous improvement and automation reliability across the plant
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Control Engineering, or equivalent
- 6–10 years of hands-on industrial automation experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or continuous-process industries
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills, particularly in Structured Text (ST)
- Experience with Beckhoff/TwinCAT preferred; EtherCAT knowledge is an advantage
- Strong hands-on SCADA/HMI experience; Ignition SCADA experience preferred
- Practical knowledge of industrial communication protocols and network troubleshooting
- Experience in FAT/SAT, commissioning, automation modifications, OEM/system integrator coordination, and system handover
- Strong English communication and stakeholder management skills
