Role Overview:
The Associate Director – Workspace Operations will be responsible for leading end-to-end soft services delivery, F&B; programs, workplace experience, and client operations across multiple sites in Bangalore. The role requires strong operational governance, stakeholder management, and a hands-on approach to service delivery. While the primary focus is on Soft Services,
the role will also oversee MEP and compliance functions in close partnership with internal technical teams and vendors to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Soft Services & Workplace Experience:
- Lead delivery and governance of integrated soft services including housekeeping, security, landscaping, pantry, transport coordination, helpdesk and mailroom.
- Oversee F&B; operations, cafeteria vendor management, menu planning, food safety compliance, hygiene and experience.
- Drive workplace experience initiatives — employee engagement events, hospitality programs, and community building activities.
- Conduct regular site walkthroughs, audits and quality checks to ensure adherence to SLAs and SOPs.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to elevate service levels and operational excellence.
Client Operations & Governance
- Act as primary operations lead for assigned clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong relationship management.
- Ensure alignment with client-specific requirements including security, access management, audit readiness and business continuity standards.
- Drive proactive communication, escalation governance and stakeholder alignment.
- Support onboarding of new clients/sites, ensuring operational readiness and seamless transition.
MEP Oversight & Compliance (Good to Have):
- Partner with internal technical and vendor teams to oversee uptime and preventive maintenance of MEP infrastructure.
- Ensure statutory compliance for workplace operations in coordination with engineering teams (e.g., fire safety, CEIG, electrical safety).
- Review energy and sustainability performance dashboards periodically.
Strategic & Financial Stewardship:
- Track site-level budgets, vendor costs, and operational spends, driving cost optimization.
- Ensure vendor SLAs and KPIs are met with periodic performance reviews.
- Contribute to operational strategies, risk management frameworks, and business continuity planning.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Hospitality, Facilities, Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in workplace / facilities operations with exposure to multi-client environments.
- Strong expertise in Soft Services, F&B; operations, audits, compliance, and service governance.
- Positive understanding of MEP systems and statutory compliance (oversight level).
- Proven stakeholder management skills with experience in working with CXO/leadership teams.
- Preferred background: IPCs, large corporate campuses, shared services or tech workplaces.
- Strong analytical, vendor management and communication skills.
Strategic Context:
- This role will own day-to-day operations across a portfolio of multiple client sites
- Strengthens leadership bandwidth and ensures higher operational responsiveness, SLA adherence, and audit readiness.
- Acts as a single point of accountability for client workplace experience and service excellence.
