About the RoleAmity University Ranchi invites applications from dynamic and research-oriented academicians for the position of Assistant Professor – Economics. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, undertaking research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics and allied subjects.
- Develop and update course content in line with current economic trends and academic standards.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals, preferably Scopus/ABDC/UGC-recognized journals.
- Guide student projects, dissertations, internships, and research activities.
- Mentor students and support their academic and professional development.
- Organize and participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, FDPs, and academic events.
- Develop industry and academic collaborations to enhance experiential learning.
- Contribute to curriculum development, accreditation, and departmental academic activities.
- Integrate technology-enabled teaching methods and innovative pedagogical practices.
- Participate in institutional committees and other academic responsibilities assigned by the University.

Educational Qualification
- Ph.D. in Economics from a recognized university/institution.




- Candidates with NET/SET qualifications and relevant academic credentials will be preferred, subject to applicable norms.

- Demonstrated experience or clear potential in University Teaching, with skill in creating inclusive, engaging learning environments.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or equivalent in Economics or a closely related discipline; candidates with a robust research profile are preferred.
- Evidence of research activity, such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects in economics.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to teach and mentor learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative pedagogical methods into classroom teaching and assessment.
- Commitment to ethical academic practices, collegial collaboration, and continuous professional development.
