Job Overview

Shridhar University, Pilani, invites applications for the position of Faculty – Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Pharmacognosy in the School of Pharmacy.

The candidate will be responsible for teaching, practical sessions, student mentoring, academic activities, and laboratory work related to Pharmaceutical Chemistry and/or Pharmacognosy. Freshers with a robust academic background as well as candidates with relevant teaching, laboratory, or pharmaceutical industry experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and related pharmaceutical subjects.
- Conduct theory classes, practical sessions, tutorials, and laboratory demonstrations.
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assignments, and assessment materials.
- Conduct internal assessments and maintain student academic records.
- Guide and mentor students in academic projects, practical work, and other activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, records, and safety standards.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals, crude drugs, and laboratory materials.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, examinations, departmental meetings, and other university activities.
- Assist in curriculum implementation, syllabus planning, and academic development.
- Encourage students to participate in research, innovation, projects,



and academic activities.
- Support accreditation, quality assurance, academic documentation, and departmental requirements.

Educational Qualification:

- B.Pharm & M.Pharma candidates with strong subject knowledge may also be considered for suitable positions.

Experience:

- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience in teaching, pharmaceutical laboratories, R&D;, Quality Control, or the pharmaceutical industry will be preferred.
- Relevant academic, laboratory, or industry experience will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and/or Pharmacognosy.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to effectively handle theory and practical classes.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical laboratory techniques and instruments.
- Basic knowledge of crude drug identification, microscopy, extraction, phytochemical studies, or analytical techniques will be an advantage.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Student-focused approach with effective mentoring abilities.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Research orientation and academic writing skills will be an added advantage.
