Education: Medical
- A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
- Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super-speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine or Master of Surgery or Diplomate National Board
or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto
- Super Specialities (DM/M.Ch./DrNB) : On Completion of DM/MCh/ DrNB in the concerned subject
Clinical Responsibilities ○
- Examine, diagnose within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
○
- He/she Shall (wherever Applicable)
■ be responsible for proper maintenance of the case and filing system in the department.
■ supervise the hospital work being carried out by the residents and other junior faculty members in the department.

- The evolution of Cardiology as a up-to-date specialty.
○ specialise in diagnosing, treating, and preventing heart and/or cardiovascular conditions through non-invasive procedures or, when necessary, surgical intervention, in order to provide the best care to the patients
- Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns through diagnosing and conducting treatment of diseases in the cardiovascular system which includes heart and blood vessels / blood circulation
○ treat chest pain, high blood pressure and heart failure, as well as problems with your heart valves,
blood vessels and other heart and vascular issues
○
- Examining blood circulation system to find cause of disorder or location of defects
○
- Include working directly with patients to understand their needs and ordering and conducting physical examination including appropriate tests on behalf of patients, and also discuss symptoms, medical history and/or family history along with health concerns
○ work directly with patients while also working alongside other Physicians and Surgeons to address cardiovascular disorders
○ work directly with patients to understand their cardiovascular disorders and provide information and treatment options
○ also oversee various tests to examine a patient’s health to ensure they receive the treatment they need
○ perform tests when needed to check the health of patients’ hearts and/or cardiovascular systems
○
- Interpret test results to determine how effectively the heart and/or cardiovascular system is functioning
○
- Use medical imaging equipment, such as CT and MRI scanners / Echo / TMT ( as applicable ), to diagnose and treat heart and/or cardiovascular conditions
○
- Assist and/or perform surgery which may include complex surgical interventions that require a team of medical professionals
○
- Prescribe medication to treat heart and/or cardiovascular disease
○ treat or help you prevent a number of cardiovascular problems
○ specialise in specific areas, such as abnormal heart rhythms, heart failure or heart problems since birth
○
- Order medicine, help with healthier exercise and eating habits or do cardiac catheterization.
Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
○
- Training and providing educational support to junior staff, when necessary.
○ recording patients’ medical information and exchanging information with other health professionals to ensure the provision of comprehensive care
○ providing information to patients and families and communities about preventive measures, treatment and care for specific ailments
- Provide patients with detailed information regarding cancer, their prognosis, and possible interventions or treatment options
○ conducting research into specific human disorders or illnesses and preventive / curative methods and disseminating the findings such as through scientific reports;
○ planning and participating in programmes designed to prevent the occurrence and spread of specialised diseases

- Consulting other specialists to diagnose diseases in case of any doubt

- Recommend alternative treatments
○
- When needed, provide pain management treatments
○
- Develop appropriate treatment plans, with measurable goals, that provide the highest level of care while conforming to patient preference
○
- Maintain quality of life for patients by managing cancer-related pain and the symptoms and side effects of treatment
○
- Reassess as disease treatment progresses, and pursue alternative care when necessary
○
- Participate in training sessions and correspondence for study protocols and clinical trials, and ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintained
○
- To carry out specific surgical / medical procedures of his / her speciality
- Prescribing and conducting treatment of patients as required, adopting appropriate medical methods required to manage the complete treatment plan charted.

- Communicate / liaise with other healthcare professionals (clinical / non-clinical / paramedical staffs) for ensuring comprehensive care management of a quality treatment being delivered.
