– Assistant Manager - Solar PV O&M; (DC Side)

Role Purpose -

To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability and safety of the DC side of a utility-scale solar PV plant,



including modules, SCBs, DC cabling, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out breakdown troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of PV modules, SCBs, DCDBs, DC cables, connectors, fuses, isolators, and related DC circuits as per OEM & Engg. Guidline.
- Read and interpret plant SLDs, string layouts, circuit diagrams, and manuals for safe isolation and accurate fault diagnosis.
- Identify and rectify faults such as low generation, string outage, hotspot, module mismatch, open circuit, reverse polarity, fuse failure, and insulation issues.
- Conduct routine checks of module health, string current balance, thermography, insulation resistance, cable condition, earthing continuity, and SCB health.
- Ensure safe O&M; execution through PTW, LOTO, PPE compliance, electrical isolation, and site safety procedures.
- Report UA, UC, NM, FAC, MTC, and LTI in the reporting system as per site safety procedure.
- Maintain breakdown, PM, spares, and restoration records in CMMS / SCADA / maintenance logs.
- Coordinate with SCADA, inverter, operation, and safety teams for fault analysis, shutdown planning, testing, restoration, and performance improvement.
- Monitor plant performance data and identify underperforming strings/arrays using SCADA, IV analysis, thermography, and field measurements.
- Use instruments such as multi-meter, clamp meter, insulation tester, IV curve tracer, thermal camera, and continuity tester for fault verification.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, tightening, cleaning, sealing, labelling, and termination quality during maintenance activities.




- Support generation loss analysis due to soiling, shading, damage, cracks, delamination, or diode-related issues, and report in DGR and raise spares/material requirements when needed.
- Participate in RCA of repeated faults and support emergency restoration, shutdown planning, and daily reporting including generation, breakdown, PPC, WMS, and curtailment reports.
- Track attendance of workforce, Train technicians / junior staff on DC troubleshooting, safe isolation, PM execution, and reporting discipline.

Desired Skills / Additional Requirements

- Experience in utility-scale solar PV O&M; with strong exposure to DC systems, modules, SCBs, field troubleshooting, and daily reporting.
- Ability to read SLDs, circuit diagrams, cable schedules, and OEM manuals.
- Knowledge of SCADA monitoring, string current analysis, and daily performance reporting.
- Awareness of PTW, LOTO, arc-flash hazards, and emergency response procedures.
- Good documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

Experience : 6 to 10 Years Location : Bikaner, Rajasthan Desired Skills / Additional Requirements
