Role Purpose The Assistant Manager – SAP FICO will be responsible for managing, supporting, enhancing, and optimising SAP Finance & Controlling solutions across the organization. The role involves leading SAP FICO implementation, support, enhancements, integrations, and business transformation initiatives while ensuring system stability, compliance, and high availability.

The incumbent will closely work with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and external implementation partners to improve business processes using SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Implementation & Project Management

- Lead SAP FICO implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.
- Participate in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration initiatives.
- Prepare project plans, effort estimation, timelines, and resource planning.
- Coordinate with business users, consultants, and vendors for successful project delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.

SAP Functional Support

- Provide Level-2 and Level-3 support for SAP FICO issues.
- Analyze business requirements and design SAP solutions.
- Perform configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ensure smooth month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Resolve critical production issues within defined SLA.

- Improve operational efficiency through SAP enhancements.
- Drive process standardization across locations.

Integration Management

Work closely with cross-functional teams for integration with:

- MM
- SD
- PP
- QM
- Third-party applications
- PIPO

Compliance & Governance

- Ensure statutory compliance including GST, E-Invoicing, E-Way Bill, TDS, and other Indian taxation requirements.
- Maintain SAP documentation.
- Support Internal Audit and Statutory Audit activities.
- Follow SAP change management processes.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with SAP implementation partners.
- Manage AMS support vendors.
- Interact with Finance leadership for requirement gathering.
- Conduct UAT and user training.

System Performance & Support

- Monitor SAP performance and system health.
- Ensure high system availability.
- Reduce recurring incidents.
- Participate in DR drills and business continuity planning.

Desired Experience

- 8–10 years of SAP FICO consulting experience.
- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration.
- Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Retail, or Logistics industry.
- Experience in handling support and enhancement projects.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation and statutory compliance.
