About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Project Management to drive operational excellence across our genomics and molecular diagnostics programs. The role requires robust coordination skills to ensure seamless execution of projects from sample registration through report delivery while maintaining turnaround time (TAT), quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, process improvement experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Laboratory Operations, Clinical Interpretation, Bioinformatics, Business Development and Finance.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination

- Manage day-to-day execution of genomics testing projects.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to committed TAT.
- Coordinate with multiple internal departments to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Track project milestones and escalate risks proactively.

Operational Excellence
- Monitor daily sample movement across the testing workflow.
- Ensure timely completion of all operational activities.
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce failures.

Performance Monitoring
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational dashboards.
- Analyze KPIs including:
- Turnaround Time (TAT)
- Failure Rate
- Sample Throughput
- Productivity
- Capacity Utilization
- Present performance insights and recommendations to leadership.

Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with clinicians, business teams, laboratory teams, and external partners.
- Ensure proactive communication regarding delays, issues, and project updates.




- Conduct regular review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.

Process & Documentation
- Develop and maintain SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain project documentation and audit readiness.

Team Coordination
- Support and mentor the team members.
- Allocate work and monitor team productivity.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.

Digital Transformation
- Drive automation initiatives using digital tools.
- Collaborate in the development and enhancement of LIMS and operational dashboards.
- Improve reporting accuracy through data analytics.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field.
- MBA / PGDM in Operations or Project Management is preferred.

Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in Project Management, Laboratory Operations, Healthcare Operations, Diagnostics, or Life Sciences.
- Experience in genomics or molecular diagnostics will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with dashboards and reporting tools
- Familiarity with LIMS or Laboratory Information Management Systems.
