As an Oracle Database Engineer (DBA) you will plan, coordinate and administer database functions, documentation, upgrades, lifecycle, long-range requirements, operational guidelines and data protection. In this role you will regularly work with Micron?s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Responsibilities And Tasks

- Ensure performance, security, and availability of all databases.
- Implement common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration through automation practices.




- Create well designed infrastructure automation deliverables using a variety of tools and approaches.
- Investigate and fix database-related issues, including connectivity problems, performance degradation.
- Partner with development teams to design effective and scalable database structures.
- Provide timely resolution and root cause analysis for incidents.
- Provide technical guidance and support to developers and end-users.
- Profile server resource usage.
- Prepare SOE and Runbook documentation and specifications.
- Collaborate with database team members, stakeholders, and architects to ensure solutions that are aligned with the global service environment.
- Participate in setting objectives, strategies, plans, programs, performance standards/measures and procedures.
- Understanding and alignment of ITIL change and incident management processes.
- Required to work in 8/5 shift support and weekend rotational On-Call support in collaboration with global DBA teams.

Qualifications / Experience

- At least 8 years of related experience in managing Oracle databases at versions 19c & 23ai
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Positive communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiar with devops practices and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket,



Github, or Gitlab. Ability to work with multiple repositories, branching, and pull request workflows.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, or Powershell DSC in a GitOps driven environment.
- Ability to plan resource requirements and break down projects from high-level specifications to sub-tasks.
- Apply knowledge and experience in implementation and maintenance of large-scale OLTP and OLAP systems in critical environments including, but not limited to, Oracle Multitenant, Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle Partitioning, Oracle Data pump, Oracle Internet Directory and Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control (OEM)
- Hands-on experience in Oracle Database Performance Tuning
- Solid experience in database upgrades and host migrations
- Proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of database related issues in support of critical day-to-day business operations
- Experience and good knowledge in user management and tablespace management
- Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment and willingness to learn other database technologies (Oracle, InfluxDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)
- Experience in designing and automating repetitive processes
- Good hands-on scripting
- Basic understanding of PL/SQL stored procedures and packages is a plus.
- Oracle Certified Associate, Professional or Master (OCA, OCP, OCM) certification is a plus.

Education B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, other technical disciplines, or equivalent work experience.
