Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom Android AOSP distributions.
- Integrate and maintain BSPs for Qualcomm, MediaTek, NXP, and other embedded SoCs.
- Perform Android bring-up on current hardware platforms.
- Customize HALs, system services, SELinux policies, init services, and vendor components.
- Debug boot issues across Boot ROM, bootloader, kernel, init, and Android framework.
- Optimize Android boot time, memory usage, and overall system performance.
- Integrate hardware peripherals including displays, cameras, touch, audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GNSS, USB, CAN, and sensors.
- Modify and maintain Linux kernels, device trees, and vendor drivers.
- Work with U-Boot/Fastboot and recovery environments.
- Investigate kernel panics, tombstones, ANRs, and native crashes.
- Automate builds using Jenkins, shell scripting, Python, and Git workflows.
- Support OTA updates and release engineering.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors to resolve platform issues.
- Review code and mentor junior engineers where required.
