Responsibilities
- Conducting Due Diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) research for checks for new and existing clients.
- Review and verify customer documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to money laundering and financial crimes.
- Understanding information documentation requirements for corporate structures in KYC context/ evidence requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address compliance-related issues and provide guidance.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- In depth knowledge of corporate structures i.e., privately owned, or public companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Executing and reviewing negative media s screening and escalate where necessary.

- Create a positive learning culture,
coach, counsel, and develop junior team members.
- Should have strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Operations background demonstrating valuable core knowledge of applying KYC within a financial institution (new customer take-on or customer due diligence remediation)
- Technical knowledge of KYC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions is a good to have
- Attention to detail in execution in the areas of AML/ KYC
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to interact successfully with crossfunctional teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and problem solving, self-motivation and possess an enquiring mind.
- Demonstrate valuable team working skills and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications
- 0 to 1 years of postgraduate experience in financial accounting.
- Experience in money laundering and understanding regulatory standards, KYC/ CDD/EDD will be an added advantage.
- Big 4 or a multinational organization experience will be an added advantage.
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- Master s in business administration (major in Finance)/US CMA
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) - Good to have
