About us

Trailspec Gears is a Kochi-based travel and outdoor gear company. We design and sell rucksacks, backpacks, duffels and travel accessories under four brands — TRAWOC & MOUNTILE.

We sell on Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra, run our own D2C store, and operate FBA in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the UK and Australia. The team is about 15 people. Advertising is currently run in-house by the founder and the e-commerce team.

What we need

We are not looking for a full time hire. We are looking for an experienced Amazon ads person to spend a few focused hours a week on our account — reviewing it, deciding what should change, and telling us clearly.

Our India Sponsored Products account was recently rebuilt into a structured, layered campaign architecture with defined bid rules, placement logic and negation lists. It is live and running. What it lacks is an experienced pair of eyes on it every week.

Scope of the engagement

- Weekly account review. Look at spend, ACoS, TACoS, search term reports and placement data, and identify what needs to change.
- Optimisation direction. Bid changes, budget shifts, negation lists, harvest candidates, campaign structure adjustments — specified clearly enough for our team to execute, or executed directly if we agree on that.
- Monthly written report.



What changed, what it did to the numbers, what you recommend next. Short and honest.
- A monthly call with the founder to review the account and agree on the next month's plan.
- Ad-hoc input on launches, seasonal pushes and new listings.
- Optional, if you have the depth: the international marketplaces (UAE, KSA, UK, AU), and advertising on Flipkart and Myntra.

We are open on how execution works. We are comfortable making changes ourselves from clear instructions, and we already use rule-based automation on the account. Tell us how you prefer to work.

Who this suits

- 5+ years of hands-on Amazon Sponsored Ads experience, with accounts you have owned outcomes on
- Currently consulting, freelancing, or running your own small agency — and able to take on one more account properly
- Fluent with bulk file operations, search term analysis and portfolio-level bid management
- Able to work from unit economics — cost, fees, returns, margin — not just ad-report metrics
- Willing to say plainly when something is not working, including if it was your own recommendation
- Clear written English. Most of our communication will be written.
