Role Description The Admission Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh. The counselor will guide prospective students and their families through the college selection and admission process, providing clear, accurate information about institutions, courses, eligibility criteria, fees, and career prospects. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings, conducting counseling sessions, maintaining detailed records of interactions, and following up with leads to support application completion.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams to stay updated on educational offerings and admission timelines, contributing to outreach initiatives,



and ensuring a supportive, professional experience for all learners.

The Admission

Counselor is expected to meet defined service and conversion targets while upholding Profession Hike’s commitment to transparency and student-centric guidance.

Qualifications Candidates should possess solid Interpersonal Communication and general Communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and professionals.

Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to provide responsive, empathetic, and accurate guidance throughout the admission journey.

Candidates should possess Sales-related skills, including lead nurturing and conversion, while maintaining an advisory and ethical counseling approach.

Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge or experience, such as familiarity with Indian higher education systems, admission processes, and career pathways.

Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; degrees in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or Business are an advantage.

Additional beneficial skills include proficiency with CRM or counseling management tools, basic data entry and reporting, fluency in English and Hindi (other regional languages are a plus), and the ability to work to targets in a fast-paced environment.
