Adjunct Faculty

Reporting To

Dean / Head of Department

Role Purpose The Adjunct Faculty shall contribute to the University's academic excellence by bringing industry expertise, qualified experience, specialized knowledge, and practical insights into teaching, mentoring, research, curriculum enrichment, and student development activities. The role is designed to strengthen the academia-industry interface and enhance the employability and practical competencies of students.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Deliver lectures, workshops, seminars, and practical sessions in assigned subject areas.
- Ensure effective course delivery aligned with the approved curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Incorporate industry practices, case studies, and experiential learning approaches into teaching.

1. Curriculum Enrichment

- Contribute to curriculum review and enhancement by providing industry and domain-specific inputs.
- Support the development of new courses, electives, certifications, and skill-based learning modules.
- Recommend emerging topics and contemporary practices relevant to the discipline.

1. Student Mentoring & Guidance

- Mentor students on academic, professional, and career-related matters.
- Guide student projects, internships, capstone assignments, and industry-linked activities.
- Support students in developing practical and employability skills.

1. Industry Engagement

- Facilitate interactions between the University and industry through guest lectures, expert sessions, and collaborative initiatives.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for internships, live projects, consulting assignments, and industry partnerships.
- Promote industry-academia collaboration within the assigned discipline.

1. Research & Innovation





- Contribute to research, innovation, consultancy, and collaborative projects, where applicable.
- Encourage application-oriented and industry-relevant research initiatives.
- Support faculty and students in research and knowledge-sharing activities.

1. Academic Administration

- Maintain academic standards and comply with University policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participate in academic meetings, reviews, evaluations, and other assigned institutional activities.
- Submit required academic records, assessments, and reports within prescribed timelines.

1. Institutional Contribution

- Participate in conferences, workshops, faculty development programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Represent the University in professional, academic, or industry forums, as required.
- Contribute to the University's mission of academic excellence and student success.

Qualification & Experience
- Postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution; Ph.D. preferred.
- Significant industry, professional, academic, research, or domain expertise relevant to the assigned subject area.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, or industry engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Engagement Terms
- Appointment shall be on an Adjunct Faculty basis and shall not constitute regular employment with the University.
- The scope of engagement, duration, workload, and academic responsibilities shall be mutually agreed upon between the University and the Adjunct Faculty.
- Honorarium, travel reimbursement, accommodation support (if applicable), and other facilities shall be discussed and finalized separately as per University norms.
