Role Description The Accountant role at UceedTakers is a full-time, on-site position based in Chandigarh, India. The accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities include monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, supporting financial planning, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The role also involves generating periodic financial reports for internal stakeholders, assisting in audits, and improving financial processes and controls.



Collaboration with the leadership team and project leads will be essential to support transparent, efficient use of organizational resources.

Qualifications

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools).
- Ability to manage budgets, track expenses, and perform accurate account reconciliations.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role; experience in education or non-profit environments is an advantage.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements in India is beneficial.
