About The Role We are seeking a full-time, detail-oriented Remote Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and tax laws, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their accounting expertise within a supportive setting. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing bookkeeping and payroll functions, and ensuring compliance with CRA regulations. Your proactive communication and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining high-quality service delivery and fostering strong client relationships.

Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong willingness to work additional hours during peak periods, especially tax season, including evenings and weekends. A solid understanding of Canadian tax laws and financial reporting standards is essential.





Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Jazzit, Profile, or Caseware, along with advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office, is required. The ability to work independently, manage multiple client accounts, and adapt to changing priorities is crucial. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to interact effectively with clients and team members.

Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail will ensure accuracy and compliance in all tasks. Candidates should also possess the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

- Provide timely and professional support to clients by addressing inquiries related to accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports tailored to client needs and industry standards.
- Assist clients with banking compliance, financial reporting, and finalization of banking and mortgage-related agreements.
- Analyze financial data, perform ratio and cash flow analysis, and deliver transparent financial reporting to clients.
- Manage bookkeeping activities such as recording sales, expenses, accounts receivable and payable, payroll transactions, and maintaining inventory records.
- Support payroll compliance by managing government remittances, T4 and T4A filings, CRA reconciliations, and preparing T5 slips as required.




- Prepare and file HST/GST and other provincial tax returns, along with personal (T1) and corporate (T2) tax returns, ensuring full CRA compliance.
- Maintain organized electronic files and supporting documentation to facilitate easy access and audit readiness.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships by providing responsive, high-quality customer service and identifying client needs proactively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to communicate opportunities or issues and support clients during CRA inquiries.
- Prepare working papers, schedules, and documentation required for audits and reviews, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Assist the Assurance team in conducting audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
