Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Madurai Area. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and account balances. The Accountant will prepare periodic financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and assist in cost analysis related to production and inventory.

The role includes ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies, as well as supporting audits and providing financial data for management reports. The Accountant will collaborate with operations, procurement,



and sales teams to ensure accurate financial documentation and timely reporting.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax compliance, regulatory requirements, and basic audit support practices.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and data entry tools, along with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Candidates should possess financial analysis and reporting skills, including budgeting, variance analysis, and cost tracking.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present financial information clearly.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field are preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical, or industrial sectors, and familiarity with inventory and cost accounting, will be beneficial.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, integrity in handling financial data, and the ability to work in office in the Greater Madurai Area on a full time basis.
