Account Manager – Vision‑Based AI Solutions (Electronics & Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Chennai, India

Experience: 5–10 years in Electronics / Automotive Component Manufacturing Business Development/Sales

Role Summary

You’ll be the commercial front‑runner driving adoption of AI‑vision inspection, Edge AI platforms, and automation solutions across Tier‑1/Tier‑2 automotive and electronics manufacturers. This role blends deep manufacturing domain knowledge with strong solution‑selling capability, enabling customers to modernize quality inspection, reduce defects, and accelerate digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Development & Sales
- Identify, engage, and convert prospects in automotive components, electronics manufacturing, and assembly lines.
- Drive consultative selling of AI‑vision inspection tables, camera‑based QC systems, Edge AI hardware, and automation modules.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline across Chennai, Sriperumbudur, Oragadam, and Hosur industrial belts.
- Customer Engagement
- Understand customer pain points in quality, throughput, traceability, and defect reduction.
- Conduct plant visits, requirement scoping, and solution demonstrations.
- Present ROI models, technical proposals, and commercial offers.
- Account Management




- Own key accounts end‑to‑end: onboarding, deployment coordination, and post‑sales support.
- Maintain long‑term relationships with production heads, QA managers, plant directors, and procurement teams.
- Drive upsell opportunities for additional cameras, robotic pick‑and‑place modules, and software subscriptions.
- Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into deployable AI solutions.
- Coordinate PoCs, trials, and production rollouts.
- Provide feedback to product teams on customer needs, industry trends, and competitive insights.
- Market Intelligence
- Track developments in automotive and electronics manufacturing, including EV components, PCB assembly, plastics, die‑casting, and precision machining.
- Monitor competitor offerings in machine vision, AOI, and industrial automation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing sales, preferably automotive or electronics.
- Robust understanding of:
- Assembly lines
- Quality inspection processes
- Sensors, cameras, PLCs, and industrial automation
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing enterprise accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel across Tamil Nadu and South India.

Preferred Experience

- Exposure to machine vision, AI/ML‑based inspection, or automation solutions.
- Experience selling to Tier‑1 automotive suppliers (e.g., brakes, steering, plastics, castings, wiring harness).
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing (PCB, SMT, EMS, connectors).
