About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive with hands-on experience in Australian accounting to join our finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Australian accounting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage accounting tasks accurately and independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for Australian clients.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting reports.
- Assist with BAS, GST, payroll, and other Australian accounting requirements.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and expense transactions.
- Coordinate with Australian clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding accounting queries.
- Ensure accounting records comply with applicable Australian accounting and taxation requirements.
- Assist senior accountants with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure timely completion of assigned accounting tasks.
- Communicate professionally with clients and provide timely responses to accounting-related queries.

Required Skills & Qualifications




- Minimum 2 years of experience in Australian accounting/bookkeeping.
- Good knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, payroll, and accounting practices.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable communicating with Australian clients and working according to Australian business requirements.

Preferred Candidate
- Experience working with an Australian accounting firm or Australian clients.
- Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance processes.
- Strong client-handling and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients/tasks simultaneously.
- Professional, reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
