Key Responsibilities

India Accounting &

- Compliance

- Maintain day-to-day books in Tally / Zoho Books sales, purchases, expenses, journal entries, bank and vendor reconciliations.

- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return), reconcile GSTR-2B with input credit, and resolve mismatches.

- Compute and deposit TDS/TCS, file quarterly returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q) and issue Form 16/16A.

- Support advance tax workings, income tax filings and statutory audit schedules with our CA firm.

- Process monthly payroll inputs — attendance, reimbursements, PF, ESI, PT — and coordinate with the payroll vendor.

- Handle vendor payments, employee reimbursements and petty cash with proper approval trails.

- Maintain fixed asset register, prepaid schedules and month-end accruals.

- Assist with ROC/MCA filings and any FEMA/FIRC documentation for inward remittances.

US Accounting &

- Support

- Maintain US books in QuickBooks Online (or equivalent) — categorisation, bank and credit card reconciliations, month-end close support.

- Raise client invoices, track receivables, follow up on collections and reconcile payment gateway/Stripe/ACH settlements.

- Track and organise 1099 vendor information; prepare year-end data for the US CPA.

- Support sales tax and state registration filings where applicable; flag nexus or filing changes to the finance lead.





- Prepare schedules and reconciliations requested by the US CPA/tax preparer and respond to their queries within agreed timelines.

Cross-Border &

- Reporting

- Reconcile intercompany transactions between the India and US entities and maintain supporting documentation.

- Track inward/outward remittances, forex gains/losses and apply correct conversion rates.

- Close books monthly for both entities and publish a management pack — P&L;, cash position, receivables ageing, expense variance vs. budget.

- Maintain a compliance calendar across both geographies so no filing deadline is missed.

- Improve and document finance processes, approval workflows and record-keeping as the company scales.

Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
- CA Inter, CMA Inter or semi-qualified CA is a strong plus.

- 2–5 years of end-to-end accounting experience, ideally in a company with US clients or a US parent/subsidiary.

- Working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance: GST, TDS, PF/ESI, income tax basics.

- Hands-on with Tally ERP / Zoho Books and QuickBooks Online (or willingness to learn QuickBooks quickly).

- Robust Excel/Google Sheets skills — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations.

- Clear written and spoken English; you'll be emailing US clients, vendors and CPAs directly.

- Accuracy, ownership and comfort working with limited supervision in a small team.

- Willing to work hours that overlap with US time zones.
